Casa de Casitas is being developed on 4 acres of land leased from The Order of Saint Patrick of Armagh for 100 years to create a tiny home community in New Mexico aimed at providing veteran housing. This tiny home community will emphasize community living and is distinct from the adjacent religious community located on 36 acres. The tiny home community will be set on four acres apart from the religious community, which is developing a memorial to honor all 33 First Nations who provided code talkers during WWII. Additionally, the community plans to collaborate with local First Nations to host events that showcase the rich history and culture of the Zuni and Navajo peoples. The religious community is dedicated to offering safe housing solutions for veterans in need.

Cass de Casitas is a nonprofit in New Mexico that has leased land from The Order of Saint Patrick for 100 years to develop a tiny home community focused on providing veteran housing. When space allows, we also aim to accommodate disabled persons over 55. Our vision is to create an initial ten spaces, with each unit offering at least 500 sf dedicated to community living. To ensure privacy, there will be at least 25' separation between RV units. This community is specifically designed for veterans, although we will consider housing a disabled individual over the age of 55 if space permits. We will maintain a close-knit community by limiting the total to 20 units. The first building will serve as the community hall, allowing residents to share meals together, and it will include a community room equipped with a commercial kitchen. For those who may have difficulty getting out, we will provide delivery of all three meals. The monthly rental for each space is set at $550 with a twelve-month lease. Additionally, we will develop four camping sites for shorter stays and unique camping experiences.

The surveyor has completed the boundary survey for the 41 acres designated for community living in New Mexico. They will be setting the boundary markers for the four acres allocated for the tiny home community this week. The final step will involve Fr. Vincent walking the property with the survey. Following that, we will begin the installation of the water well and septic system, all part of our commitment to providing veteran housing for veterans. One step at a time.
